In the Joseon Dynasty, it was an organization belonging to the palace for the skin care of women.
They made and served cosmetics for court ladies to care for their skin, using materials mainly sourced from nature.
The materials for cosmetics were herbs from mountains, seeds from fields, fruit, vegetables, and seaweed from the sea.
